WALLINGFORD: 2003 Garden Tour set for May 31

May 06, 2003 --

DO YOU want to know how Phil Wood, garden designer columnist for the Seattle Times, keeps his garden looking beautiful?

Find the answer at the 2003 Wallingford Garden Tour, to be held on May 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The tour will feature residential neighborhood gardens and the Good Shepherd Center's demonstration gardens.

Tickets cost $10 each and will be available starting May 24 at the Wallingford Garden Spot in Wallingford Center and at the Piriformis Nursery, 1051 N. 35th St. in Wallingford.

Tickets will also be available during the tour date at the Wallingford Neighborhood Office, 2100-A N. 45th St., located behind Tully’s Coffee on Meridian.

Everyone is invited. No pets or strollers will be allowed in the gardens, however.

The 2003 Wallingford Garden Tour benefits Weaving Wallingford, a non-profit community organization that strives to build a stronger, more vibrant and sustainable Wallingford neighborhood through neighborhood communication, participation, imagination and collaboration.

For more information about the 2003 Wallingford Garden Tour or to find out how to get involved with Weaving Wallingford, contact Jennifer Veninga at (206) 634-2706 or at email address jveninga@msn.com.
