Another lapse of judgment?

Mar 03, 2003 --

THE ARREST of Washington State Supreme Court Justice Bridge for drunk driving indicates that she is capable of exercising very poor (criminal, dangerous) judgment when she climbs behind the wheel. She made a conscious decision to endanger herself and risk the lives of others. She damaged property and demonstrated a willingness to avoid personal responsibility by attempting to leave the scene of the (crime) accident. In this, there were at least two (and perhaps many more) egregious violations of the law, and I would submit that this is likely not the first time she has placed citizens in this kind of danger.

The accounts I have read indicate that Chief Justice Alexander intends to encourage Justice Bridge to remain on the court. Another lapse of judgment?

Justice Bridge should resign.
